A good eye, a steady hand \u2013 and above all, being able to draw. For more than four decades, Gilbert Clausen has been indulging in paper cutting every minute of his free time. Thanks to his talent for drawing and his great relationship with nature, he was introduced to paper cutting by his teacher Karl Albrecht at the age of 13. What does he like so much about this craft? “He loves the old ways; he just enjoys it and he is able to pass it on to others.” Indeed, his talent has been inherited. His daughter Marina Clausen is doing well with her paper cutting, following in the footsteps of her father\u2026<\/p>

How it all began<\/h3>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Pension Panorama was opened in 1961 by Viktor Bittel with 5 rooms. The opening was celebrated in 1962, though, as he had to wait a long time for the necessary approvals. The reason being that the restaurant was too close to the Catholic Church, the Mary of the Snow Chapel.<\/p>

In 1991 the house was demolished to the ground floor and a new 13-room hotel was built.<\/p>

From 2000 to 2010, the hotel was extended with 3 additional rooms and the rooms were partially renovated, and a ski cellar and an entrance was built on the east side.<\/p>

In 2018, Serge Schmidhalter and his family took over the business becoming the 3rd generation of owners.<\/p>

In 2022 all rooms, corridors and the Reception were renovated and so today they really shine with their fresh, and up-to-the-minute design.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
